New layout

I am trying a new template as I was having issues with my last one :( I really liked my old template but this one is almost as cool!!!

Hope this helps with being able to view my posts.

I hope you all have a Fabulous Thanksgiving. Remember who we are thanking during this holiday time!
Love,

Christmas is coming!

Okay, so technically Thanksgiving isn't here yet but our family celebrated it twice this last weekend so I am geared up for Christmas and trying to get ideas for celebrating all month long. It is my desire to focus on the true meaning of Christmas.

So I think I found what I want to do this year. A friend of mine mentioned this last year and I had forgotten about it until I stumbled upon it on a google search this year. It is the Jesse Tree. You remember Jesus and who was in his family tree everyday from this coming Sunday (1st sunday of advent) until Christmas day. If you click here it gives you ideas to make your own Jesse Tree. I am really excited. From now until later this week I will have the kids help me color the ornaments and then I will laminate them and cut them out so we are ready to start on Sunday.

What are you going to do this year?

Did y'all think I stayed in New Jersey?

Boy I wish that were true. We did make it back from a GREAT vacation! I came home sicker than I have been in a very long while. The night before we flew home my ears plugged up and because of my throat I couldn't talk. So needless to say I had a miserable flight home. My ears would NOT pop. So on our drive home I just sat in my own little world since I couldn't talk and I couldn't hear. When we got home Michael and I both realized that neither one of us had a house key! We were tired and locked out. I can't even remember now how we got back in. I think I found my dad at work who has an extra key of ours and we got in. CRAZY I tell you!

August turned into an adventure for us. Thing 1 (Macy) went to her first overnight camp. She left on a Grey Hound bus for a 4 hour trip "up north". The next morning we got a call from camp saying Macy hurt her leg. To make a long story short she BROKE her leg (in 2 spots - a tib/fib break). My poor baby!! She had to stay overnight at the hospital and as soon as Michael and I found out what was going on we drove up to stay with her. 4 hours was way too long. It seemed like 8 I just wanted to be with my baby. Here is a picture of her in the temporary splint.

We headed home the next day to see an Ortho specialist to determine if surgery was necessary, which we found out wasn't!! She got her cast on and started on an interesting journey. She wore the thigh high cast for 4 weeks and then graduated to a walking boot (cam walker). We went back in on November 3rd (her 9th birthday) for another check-up and she was FREE!! It was quite the adventure. Glad to be done with it. Just imagine how difficult bath time was having to keep her cast out of the tub. One day we were invited to my nieces water park birthday and not wanting Macy to be left out we tried doubling up garbage bags and duct tape. Boy that DID NOT work. Her cast was soaking wet. Luckily it didn't damage it and it didn't bother Macy to bad. Her leg did not itch worse than it already did. Whew. Have I said how happy we are to be done with this?

Dad decorated Macy's cast. It was the coolest around. He drew her a bionical (sp?) leg and the butterfly and a sun. Oh and a rose too. The dr and nurses always commented on how cool that was.

First day of school for Macy!

Cast off! Now the boot!

My happy birthday girl!

Macy showing off her 2 good legs! She finally got to wear her new school shoes!

I have more to post about. Like my Connor starting school this fall. He is so enjoying Kindergarten. It is fun to see him learn. Also, my little Griffin is getting bigger everyday. But I will save those for another post soon!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

Start spreading the news....

I'm leaving today (well actually tomorrow morning!). We are going on VACATION. I am super excited and super stressed.

We will be flying to Newark NJ tomorrow morning to visit my sister and her family for 7 days! YAY!!

I will post when we get back. What, you don't believe me? Well, yeah, I know what my history is of not posting very regularily. But I will try!

Also, I wanted to tell you about a great new "linky" service available and I wanted to let you know about it. It’s called MckLinky – www.mcklinky.com. After realizing the need for a new, reliable linky capability, Brent Riggs and MckMama got together to create a free, easy to use linky service for all their blog friends.
MckLinky is a free link list feature that allows you to do include lists of other blog links like MckMama does on Not Me! Monday. You can use MckLinky any time you want your blog readers to leave a list of links on your blog. It’s simple, reliable, free...and loads of MckFun!

Have a GREAT week. Happy 4th of July!! Be safe!

Having technical difficulties.  Hope to get it fixed soon.  Hang in there with me!!

Helmet

Griffin's latest obsession is helmets.  He loves motorcycle helmets like his dad's.  As he has been in the garage lately with the nice MN weather `` (Griffin is playing with the keyboard as I type this - yikes) HE FOUND THE BICYCLE HELMETS AND DECIDED THAT WOULD WORK FOR HIM.  HE INSISTS ON wearing a helmet almost all of the time.  Here is today as we got home from daycare...

He is also such a big helper!!   He followed me into the bathroom and proceeded to get some toilet paper and wipe mommy!!  SO SO helpful!  I sure hope it helps him want to start using the potty for himself.

Oh, interruption, so my boys are currently playing with the vacuum cleaner and it started fall backwards...guess what?  It hit Griffin on the head...but guess what else?  It didn't hurt because he has his helmet on!!!  HMMM there is something to be said about always wearing a helmet.  :)

Well, I gotta run and make supper then we head out to see Penny and Pals at the local community center at 6:30 and bible study for me after that.

Have a great day!

Did I say That?

Did I say that I was really going to try to post about 2-3 times a week?  Hmm.  It appears that I did.  Oops.

Life as of course been busy and the last few weeks I feel  like I have been trying to keep my head above water.  Sometimes it felt like it was lapping just under my nose.

My house is a mess, I have so much laundry to do that it really isn't funny any more, but my children and husband are feeling more loved this week.  It seems like I just can't get it right.  I can't keep up the house AND love my children and husband the way they should be.  Maybe by the time the kids are all grown up I will have it mastered.  So this next week it might be time to focus on the house.  Poor husband and kids.

Okay, gotta go, I have two of the three kids crying and husband is home!!

Later,
Tonia

I'm gonna be a new auntie again sometime today!!

My sister in New Jersey is going to have her baby today. Her water broke when she woke up!! YAY!

I will update as I hear anything!

Money does matter

So I know I just posted but I just had to share what I just heard.

Macy had a friend stay overnight last night and the 2 girls are up and playing in Macy's room.  Connor wants to go in there and play with them and Macy won't let him.  So I had him sit on the couch and look out the window at the huge snow flakes that were being blown out of the trees.  I thought it was interesting, he didn't think so.  All of a sudden he jumps up and runs to his room.  I thought, "good he will play in his room and leave the girls alone."

Well, this is what I just heard.

Macy's door opens.

Connor says "Here, if I give you a penny and a quarter, can I play with you guys?"

And people say that money doesn't buy you everything!!

Outside Fun in the Snow!

Macy with her giant snowball!

My sweet Connor in his sister's pink snowsuit!

Cheese!

Little Griffin

He was so funny, he was carrying around the same piece of snow for about 15 minutes!

There, got it up the hill!

Connor's snow angle.

Having fun.

Sweet baby boy!

Sweet big boy (with 2 bottom middle wiggly teeth)!

My sweet Miss Macy!

The crazy thing is, it snowed even more last night!!  Schools are 2 hours late today.  Yay, we like 2 hours late.  More time to get ready in the morning and I actually have time to make the kids some breakfast.  Last night I wasn't going to post about the weather and look what I do this morning....

Take care everyone!
Tonia

Nothing new?

I don't really feel like I have anything too interesting to blog about but feel like I better blog about SOMETHING....

I am not going to post about our current weather situation because frankly too many people make it such a big deal that we have a snow storm in Spring.  And I keep thinking about how a little snow isn't so bad when there are other people going through such worse circumstances.  Like Stellan for instance and his mommy and daddy and siblings.  I can't imagine one of my precious little one's in the hospital fighting for their lives.  It brings tears to my eyes to think of them and all the thousand's of other families going through such struggles.

I am not going to post about work because it is just work.  There are good days and bad days.  Busy days and slower days.  Oh wait, I do want to post about my work.  We are all feeling like we do need a bit of something to celebrate so we decided that this week was Spring Fling.  Today we dressed up to support our schools, tomorrow is royalty day (or wanna be royalty), and Thursday is Hawaiian Day and we will have a salad potluck lunch.  Kind fun don't ya think!?
I asked my supervisor if she thought it would inappropriate to wear my coconut shells that my sister bought for me when they were in Hawaii 2 years ago.  She thought it wouldn't go over very well.  DANG, I don't have anything else Hawaiian.  Guess I will have to bribe my 8 year old to see if she will make me a lea (okay, I have no idea how to spell that!!  Oh well,  I am too tired to care much).

I will post about how when I was leaving our daycare today I got stuck in her short driveway and it took us a 1/2 hour to get me out!  I was slippin and slidin all over and she had to get her shovel and dig me out and PUSH my van.  It was actually quite comical.  Thanks Denise!!!

Hubby has his day off tomorrow and is home with the boys.  I love Wednesday mornings (use to be Tuesdays until they switched his day off).  It seems so much less stressful when I am only getting myself and one other child off for the day.  Then tomorrow evening we have Magik Mike coming to our Awana club for a Family Fun Night.  Ice cream sundaes afterwards.  Yummy.

Thursday night is Kindergarten Round Up for Thing 2 (Connor).  I can't believe he is going to be in Kindergarten this coming Fall.  In some ways I am SO ready for him to be and in others I just want him to stay in preschool and not grow up.  I would say that this week I have been SO much more emotional than I have been in quite some time.

Oh, oh, oh.  I have to remember to try to post some pictures tomorrow of our fun in the snow today!!  Poor Connor.  I couldn't find his snowpants anywhere (Losing stuff momentarily in our house is NOTHING NEW!) so he had to wear Macy's snowmobiling outfit from when she was like 4!!  It is pink/magenta and about 4 inches too short in the arms and legs.  He looked so darn cute.  But the minute he walked outside, his not so nice sister laughed at him and said "your wearing pink!"  I scolded her and told Connor to just tell her "real men wear pink".  He was totally fine with wearing the outfit.  He did not care at all.  In fact he made sure I put the hood on it so he could wear that too!  What a great kid.  I hope as he gets older he hangs onto his confidence.

Anyway, I better get to bed.  Keep praying for baby Stellan.  His mommy was on the 10 p.m. news tonight on KSTP 5.  I watched it and I had tears in my eyes during the whole thing!!  She is going to post the video on her blog as soon as it becomes available.  You can click on Stellan's picture to the right to visit her blog.

Sleep will feel nice tonight!

Morning started out fine today.  I got the 2 older kids on the bus and Griffin to daycare and I even got to work on time!

I have to pick up Connor from pre-school at 12:00 and then drive him to daycare.  I am usually late.  I notice the time while I am working about 11:20-11:30 and think to myself "don't forget to pick up Connor."  So what do you know the next time I look at the clock it is 12:05!!  Good thing I am only 2 blocks away from the school.

Well today was and exception I left work to get him at 11:55!!  Mark it on the calendar.  I went into the building and he was waiting in his classroom.   As I walked in I said "Hey Connor mommy is here and not even late!"  At that same time his teacher was handing him a sticker so I said "Connor, what do you say?"  (Expecting a "thank you" to his teacher.)  No....he said to me "Congratulations mom!"  I laughed so hard.  That was awesome!!

After work I went to pick up the kids from daycare.  Griffin runs up to me and is dressed in a pink and black dance costume.  Like a long sleeved leotard with a skirt on it!!  He was so proud.  I tried to take it off of him and he through a fit so our daycare lady let us borrow it for then night and he wore it to the grocery store!  I don't think dad was impressed when I told him about it.

So after the grocery store I got the kids and 3 bags of my 5 into the house.  As I am going back out to the van to get the last 2 bags a lady drives up from a local phone, cable, internet company and wants to sell me her products!!  I wanted to say "NO" because I JUST got home after work, after picking up the kids from daycare, after going to the grocery store and I just wanted to make supper and get us all settled for the night.  But of course I didn't say "no".  Instead I invited her into my home that is an ABSOLUTE mess right now.  I have a basket of clean laundry (at least it is clean) on my couch, the kids pj's are on the living room floor from when they took them off this morning and didn't put them where they need to go.  I have jackets on the floor, and the list could go on.  She was so sweet and told me she understood and that she raised 4 boys!!  I think she was just being nice because she could see how frazzled I was.  Needless to say I bought her products tonight.  I am an easy sell.  Although, I did call my husband to get his input and he was all for it.

Whew, as soon as she left I put the groceries away and started supper.  It is kind of funny, I swear Connor has a radar that tells him exactly when I am going to starting cooking because he is pulling up a chair to the counter/stove ready to help.  He is my little chef.  He LOVES to cook with me.  One day he just stood at my spice drawer and was opening up all the spices and smelling them and asking me what they were!  I  use to not like the kids to cook with me, to much of a control freak, but God is changing my heart in that area and is blessing Connor and I with some fun 1 on 1 time.  I actually enjoy seeing his interest and wanting to help.

Well, Michael is at Worship Team practice - he is the drummer for our church worship team - and I need to get some laundry done and get the children to bed.  Then I am off to bed where I will crash and hopefully sleep soundly for the next 8 hours!!  YAY!!

Happy Friday tomorrow!  I love my weekends!!

Prayer Request

Please pray for baby Stellan!!  While still in his mother's womb he was diagnosed with SVT which is a heart issue.  God healed him and he was born with not a sign of heart issues.  2 nights ago, his mommy took him to the ER with respiratory issues from being sick over the weekend and he ended up in SVT again.  Please pray for his heart rate to drop to a normal rhythm and to stay normal!!!  Please pray for his mommy and daddy as they are trying to rely on GOD to give them peace in this situation.  You can visit his mommy's blog by clicking here.

Here is to me - being real!!

Okay, so I have to laugh (a little) when my 8 year old daughter comes up to me and says "mom, can you please pay the TV bill?  The TV isn't working!"  Oops, guess I forgot to pay that one!  Most of my bills are set up to be automatically withdrawn from my account.  Except the TV bill.  I think that I will have to switch that to auto pay today!!  We will see.

I am having a little bit of a crabby day today and trying to change my attitude!!  I am tired and yet see all of the things I need and want to do tonight.  I am slowly running out of time to do them.  I wonder what would motivate me to get them done!!

Is it wrong to have cold cereal for supper?  It is quick and somewhat nutritional.

Oh, this is funny...So I am am picking up my kids from daycare and I sit down to wait for the children to finish making their window clings and my daughter (the same 8 year old who told me to pay the TV bill) comes up to me and asks "mom are you going to have a baby?"  I of course think she is saying this because of my weight or something and I ask "why are you asking that?"  To which she replies "I don't know I just want a baby sister.  Just love daddy more so we can have a baby.  Buy him a dvd every night or something!"  Oh honey, if it were that easy we would have 20 children by now :)  Needless to say we are in baby mode in our house again.  We are all missing that baby stage.  Especially with our baby turning 2 and learning new words like "NO" everyday!!

Well, I am off to do dishes or laundry or make supper or all of the above!!

Blessings,
Tonia

A New Challange for Myself

I am going to try to post at least 2-3 times a week for a while to see if I can get into it better.  We will see how I do.  :)

Today I sent my youngest child to daycare with a very low grade temp (99.9).  Last night I noticed a funny little rash on his tummy and back.  I was thinking that it could possibly just be heat rash or something.  There was another little guy at daycare who had strep throat about a week and a half ago.  So the thought did cross my mind that it could be strep.  So last night when I got home from Awana at church I checked out the Mayo Clinic website on Strep Throat and Scarlet Fever.  When Griffin woke up with the low grade temp this morning my mama instincts told me it was probably strep.  So I very firmly yet hopefully politely insisted that I see our doctor today.  The reception gal at the clinic did not want to let me squeeze my way into his already busy day.  I have the best doctor and will not see another one unless I ABSOLUTELY have too.  Well today was no exception.  I got to see him.  He took one look at the rash and knew right away that it was strep.  The VERY red throat and accelerated heart rate confirmed his thoughts.  So my lovely little boy gets to take antibiotics for the next 10 days.

He really is in pretty good spririts.  Although right now he is laying on the dining room floor playing with the fan on the Pixo's machine.

The 2 older children are outside enjoying the 30 something degree weather.  Still not warm enough for my liking but way better than below zero weather!!  I did hear today that Saturday is suppose to have a high of 60 something!!!  YAY.  We like spring.  I feel like we are stuck away in buildings all Winter long and we sprout and blossom like the flowers and trees when Spring comes around.  It is kind of funny because we don't see our neighbors much at all during the Winter and then all of a sudden when it gets nice outside we start coming out of our hibernation!!

Well, I suppose I better get going.  I think supper is going to be cooked by the local DQ tonight and I told my daughter that I would watch her on her scooter.

He's growing up

My youngest turned 2 on March 2nd and boy is he growing up. I was just watching him play with the dog and it is fun to see how much fun he was having. When we got our schnoodle "Corky" in October Griffin was terrified of him. After he lost his fear he turned his aggression towards Corky. He would pull his tail and hit him. Tonight he
was actually playing with Corky. It was so cute to watch him and hear his giggle.

Another way that I can see that he is growing is that he is putting 2 words together when he talks. He saw his daycare lady's car and said "Nisee's Car". He saw big sister's messy hair tonight after her bath and he said "Macy's Hair". He picked up the dolly nuk and said "baby nuk".

Two of Griffin's favorite sayings right now are "uh-ah". It is his way of saying "No" and he says it all the time. He also says "yeah". He LOVES motorcycle's. He calls them "bachoobye".

He is my sweet little strong willed Griffin. One instance of his strong willed personality (or just being 2) was when we tried to put him to bed last night. We had given him a bar (like a nutri-grain bar) but he wouldn't eat it he was just carrying it around. So we tried to take it from him and he would not have it. "UH-AH" So we told him to eat it. "UH-AH" So we compromised and we put his bar in a ziploc bag and gave it back to him and he took it to bed with him and slept with it!!! All was well in his world when he got to sleep with his bar. Crazy little one.

Goodnight my dear little Griffin! My big 2 year old.

Productive Day

Today has been a very productive day. Until now that is. A friend of mine came over to help me go through bedrooms. We were able to get through my daughter's room and mine and Michael's room. I got rid of 1 1/2 garbage bags of clothes from our room!! YAY! Our room is now back to the sweet haven it was meant to be. It is always much more fun to do this sort of thing when someone is there with you. At least that is how I feel. Some of you may prefer to do it by yourself.

The only bad thing about sorting today is that I haven't even been outside to enjoy the MN Thaw. I see that the snow is melting like crazy.

The kids have been pretty good today. They have stayed in front of the babysitter (TV) most of the day. I think it is time to get them away from that thing.

My hubby got home from work about 20 minutes ago and is dealing with a sick stomach. We are hoping it was just from some ibuprofen that upset his tummy.

I better cut this short hubby is still feeling sick!
Take care everyone,

Blushing Buttercream Pettiskirt GIVEAWAY!!!!

Blushing Buttercream Pettiskirt GIVEAWAY!!!!

A sledding we will go!

Took the kids sledding last night. It was a warm evening for us here in MN! A whole 30 degrees! We had such a blast! I realized that I had never taken my children sledding before (bad mom). I laughed so hard at one point that I almost pee'd my pant's. It was so good to laugh and have such fun with my husband and children. We need to incorporate laughter more often into our lives.

That's it, just a quick post. I have got to find time to post some pictures!! Maybe this weekend! Our youngest (thing3) turns 2 on Monday the 2nd. So we are having a golden birthday party for him on Sunday. Should be fun!! I should have some pictures from that day to post.

Take care!

I am feeling it!

Just a quick note to jump on here and say I am feeling God's love today! It is hitting me hard for some reason and I am just happy beyond measure. I can't explain it but I am feeling his grace pour on me. Thank you father!! Thank you!

Isn't he awesome? He wants to lavish us with his love. I read that on another blog today. A mom is doing a bible study about mothering and we are to lavish our children with love and hugs and kisses like the father wants to do to us!

I am going to enjoy this burst of happiness and praise my heavenly father as I sit and work!

Home Again Home Again Jiggity Jig

We are home! We had a great weekend with friends and the kids had a great time with grandparents.

I didn't end up going to the show with hubby. He and 2 of his friends went and he said it was the worst show he has seen yet. That is pretty bad considering he has been going to them for the last 14 years. Keri and I headed to Ikea and a few other shops. We had a blast! Before we left the house that day we played hairdresser. :) It was just as much fun as when I was a kid. We took turns doing each other's hair. We were trying to per-fect the little poof that girls are wearing in their hair these days. We figured out that it takes A LOT of back combing!!

Let me get back to Friday. Keri and I had another day of girl time and went to a little ceramics shop to do some painting. It was very fulfilling. I made a cute little piggy bank for Griffin's birthday coming up and 4 little swirly eggs for Easter, and a "Celebrate You" plate for the family. I guess I will have to post pictures on here for everyone to see.

We did have a nice Valentine's together. The guys bought the girl's roses and we had supper. Then the girl's made the guys a wonderful dessert from Racheal (sp?) Ray!

It was so nice to have a whole weekend kid free. I did of course miss the "wee ones" but thoroughly enjoyed every minute away.

Tomorrow is a busy day with work, chiropractor, and bible study. Tuesday will be a slower day with Michael home. Hopefully I will be able to take some time to post some pictures then.

Also, just wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my brother Tim today. He turns 34. I hope you had a wonderful day!! I was thinking about you all day. Take care and hope you are feeling better than you have been.

Getting ready for the weekend!

I am trying to get ready for the weekend coming up. My husband is taking me to the Motorcyle Show in Mpls. I have skipped a few years of going to the show so I suppose it is time to be supportive again.

We have Awana at church tonight. I am a co-Commander and my other half is out on maternity leave so I have a little more planning to do.

Then it is home to do laundry, give the stinky dog a bath, pack the kids' bags, pack our bags, pack up the dog food etc.

Somewhere in the there I need to keep checking on hubby who is down today with a 102 fever. The boys had this same virus last week and weekend. Praying that Macy and I don't get it.

Thursday it is off to work then pick up kids from daycare, pick up dog from home and bring them to the grandparent's house. Then drive down to the cities. aaahhhh. Then rest!!

Friday, Michael has to work at the show for a few hours in the evening but the rest of the weekend is open. Yay!! Hoping to have lots of fun and spend time with friends. Praying that the kids do well without mom and dad. Saturday they will get switched from my parents' house to Michael's parents' house. That way both grandparent's get to go crazy this weekend. :)

Enjoy your weekend! I have some new photos to post soon!

I am experimenting on my blog to see if I know how to add videos to it. Thanks for bearing with me.

Missing Thing 1

I am home again today with a sick Thing 2. He has had flu symptoms for the last few days and is hopefully on the mend. While I am thankful for the extra 2 days to be at home, when I should normally be at work, I have found myself missing my dear Thing 1. She is the big girl of the house and is away at school right now. I have been feeling like she gets lost in this crowd and ends up being my helper more than my little girl. So today as I am taking care of the boys (Thing 2 and Thing 3) and doing dishes and laundry I am going to think of ways that I can spend time with my dear sweet Macy and help her feel loved as much as she really truly is.

How do you find time with other children in the house to spend quality time with each one? I am looking for ideas that can be done in the house without another spouse around. Michael works so much that a lot of time it is just the kids and I. And of course we usually only have a few hours in the evening. Weekends too, I guess. Thanks for any input you have!

Have a thankful Thursday!

Under Construction

All,
This is so difficult when you do not know html. I guess I have some studying to do. This blog is under construction until then. So please disregard the items that do not look correct. :)

I am about to spend the evening with my family.

Take care,

Great Recipe

All,
I tried out a recipe from my new Amish cookbook last night and it was wonderful! Everyone in my family liked it considering I live with some very picky eaters. Thought I would share it!

Savory Crescent Chicken Squares
- 3 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened (I doubled the recipe and I just used one 8 oz block instead of using just 6 oz)
- 3 T. butter
- 2 c. cooked chicken, cubed
- 1/4 t. salt
- 1/8 t. pepper
- 2 T. milk
- 1 T. chopped pimento
- 8 oz. can Pillsbury refrigerated quick crescent dinner rolls
- 1/4 c. seasoned croutons, crushed

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Blend cream cheese and 2 T. butter until smooth. Add the next 5 ingredients, mis well. Separate crescent dough into 4 rectangles. Firmly press perferations, to seal. Spoon 1/2 c. meat mixture into center of each rectangle. Put 4 corners of dough to top center of chicken mixture, twist slightly, and seal edges. Brush top with reserved 1 T. butter and dip in crouton crumbs. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Mushroom Sauce
Heat together 1 can mushroom soup, and 1/2 to 1 c. milk and server with chicken squares.

We did not make the mushroom sauce last night but I am sure that would have been yummy too.

Hope you can try this out and you love it as much as we did!

Well, we are off to a friends 5th birthday party today and then to spend time with their family before dad is sent overseas for over a year :( It will be a busy day but fun.

Random Thoughts

Happy New Year everyone (or the few people who actually look at my blog)! I have some quick random thoughts today...

- My 2nd favorite smell in the whole world is the Harmony candle by Beanpod Candles. It reminds me of the perfume Angel which I love. It is my 2nd favorite because my favorite smell is my husband with his cologne Joop.

- We made it throught the holidays slightly unscathed. Almost my entire family ended up getting the stomach flu. That part was miserable. But we still enjoyed our time together.

- We made do with the enormous amount of snow by going snowmobiling on Sunday. My wonderful husband brought home 2 sleds from work. Boy was that fun. I think it can be added to my favorite past times list!

- I dislike the snowplow greatly!!! That thing can undo in 2 minutes what I spent 2 hours doing!!

- If I could give my desire for this next year one word I think it would be....PEACE. We will see.

- I really wish I could just warm up. I feel like for 5 months I am chilled to the bone and then in April/May I finally start to thaw out. Oh well, I guess that is what I get for living in MN.

Okay, I think that is enough of my random thoughts. Just thought I would pop in to say hello!
